Our voice is at the core of so much that we love: laughing, singing, talking with family and friends, and even our professional lives. It is how we communicate our needs, desires, and experiences, build relationships, promote, inform, persuade, influence, inspire, motivate, learn, gain inspiration, negotiate, and make an impact. Voices are as unique and diverse as each student and mature at different rates. There is no such thing as one size fits all, so balancing the technical aspects of healthy and functional vocal production with each student’s musical and personal goals is key to teaching. My goal is to help each student become dynamic and entertaining, and to stand out from the crowd by carefully planning and practicing to become genuine and expressive, and to engage their audience in every role.
